Album Notes
Circe Link’s sixth studio release, California Kid, is not so much a departure as a natural evolution for this diverse artist.
A native of Los Angeles, Circe began her musical career one morning when she awoke with a song in her head and so started her unusual journey.
While her early style, self-titled as Cowboy Jazz, payed homage to Patsy Cline and Dan Hicks, Circe’s new direction of Americana/Roots Rock evokes reminiscent sounds of Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Derek Trucks, and The Band.
