ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
La tour de rêves is the first solo effort from Barcelona-based guitarist-multi-instrumentalist Ciro Berenguer. The album's eleven instrumental tracks contain both solo and ensemble works that are mostly played with acoustic instruments and a few guest musicians on double-bass, drums and guitar. The compositions, some short but intricate and others lengthy, are reminiscent of the colorful jazz/folk recordings released by ECM in the seventies, but mixed with modern ambient music and field recordings to create a fusion of intimate pieces which pay tribute to the natural landscapes, sounds, colours and smells of the musician’s homeland Argentina, and Europe, where he has lived for 10 years.

Ciro Berenguer: guitars, mandola, ukulele, bowed psaltery, melodica, percussions, field recordings, loops, compositions
Beto Capriotti: double bass (track 4 & 6)
Walter Tulian: drums (track 6)
Luciano Etchehandy: electric guitar (track 6)
Alfredo Arcusa: darbuka (track 1)
Barbara Bux: drawings and design
Rafael Giner: sound design, mastering
