Born from a common desire to serve the Lord, a calling to perform and use the talent He gave each member, and believing they are made for His purpose – the band City of Nations was formed from a group of Worship Team members in Southeast Michigan.
City of Nations draws its name and inspiration from the book of Revelation 5:9-10.
And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."
The band is made up of a diverse group of individuals, both in ages and musical background which lends itself to the group’s ability to write and perform such a range of songs and musical styles.
The founding members - and creative energy of the group - are the young husband and wife team of Dan and Lindsey Suminski. Dan and Lindsey met at Spring Arbor University while serving on the school's Chapel Band. Early in their relationship they felt a strong calling to serve the Lord together in music ministry and have been writing music and leading music in the church ever since.
Driven by the truth that the Lord Jesus Christ is alive and desires to use His people through the power of the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations, the band City of Nations strives to be a vehicle of His will, allowing the Holy Spirit to touch hearts and minds via the music He is creating thru His servants – City of Nations.
“Hello All, I have to say I had a really good time listening to your songs today...The guitar tones were phenomonal! I really like the way both craft a certain sonic sound during the songs. Drumming was spot on and the bass really had a nice round tone up and down the neck (also really good supportive lines). Vocals were clear and you could hear the message in the lyrics...a really good clean mix.”
Steve from Riverbend Friends Church
"It was a definite privilege to have you as part of our 2013 Walk. We loved your music and interacting with you! Your presence set the tone for the downtown portion of the event. We can't thank you enough."
Marla Field, Director of Events - Run For Their Lives 2013

You were awesome!"
