Claudio Rythym King
This new album from Claudio continues his musical odyssey and shows increased maturity and diversity in its scope. Personally I loved Claudio's first album and i am pleased to finally get hold of this album . As i write this my children are dancing happily to " hermeto e o pandeiro ".
Apresenta is a perfect example of the magic of Brazil , that it presents us with wonderful fusions of culture, a perfect antidote to the political clashes of the old world, this album is like walking in an exotic marketplace , I catch snatches of scent, hear rythyms, taste flavours , see processions, dancers, children ducking under stalls, then gone. It is something new and living. This is not formulaic, Kron defies the dominant fashion of accepted "pop " structure and involves self indulgence. This is at once easy to listen to and challenging, fun and informative and if you have had the luck to see Claudio play, or play with him as he teaches many workshops, then you will know that it is all based on his supreme mastery of the great battery of Brazilian percussion. Nice one Claudio.
