ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born Tamara Lytch named after Tamara Dobson who played the 1970\'s Cleopatra Jones. By right is was only natural to choose the stage name Cleo Jones. With great similarities, Cleo Jones is a strong representation of a dominate black female fighting against all odds and discrimination of women in the entertainment industry. She began her quest in 2001 as an powerful lyricist a female emcee mentored by Chuck D of Public Enemy. After being apart of the SlamJamz label for 4 years and aiding Chuck D in putting together an all female mc group, her efforts became a endless battle of finding the right females to represent her vision. Still the mission was complete after the group currently known as Crew Grrl Order was formed. Cleo\'s personal feelings decided this group did not present the message she wanted people to hear and began to search for an outlet for her vision as a solo artist. She worked with many groups and camps as she built up lyrical delivery and was later join by producer Demac to birth the solo project of Cleo Jones. Cleo Jones a wife, a mother of three, a fashion designer and a lyrical mc. Her voice remarkable, her strenght endless and her lyrics very touching. Inspired by main stream acts such as Diana Ross, Lauryn Hill, Bahamadia and many more. Cleo Jones has become a house hold name.Cleo Jones knows the time has come for positive, uplifting and impowerment music to hit main stream and be recognized by many. She\'s currently a OneMynd Management\'s artist under the direction of Demario \"Demac\" Mcilwain. Together with her determination to be a success and Demario\'s drive for perfection this will be a project talked about in history class!!!! I M A Records
