Album Notes
'WORLD MUSIC CD OF THE WEEK' **** Sydney Morning Herald
FINALIST - AUSTRALIAN WORLD MUSIC AWARDS 2000

'Melbourne's magical purveyors of the a cappella art' Coco's Lunch have helped shape contemporary Australian vocal music for over a decade. Renowned for their extraordinary song writing, disarming originality and stunning live performances, these five women singer/composers have been nominated for a host of Australian music awards. They have received standing ovations for their concerts throughout Australia, Asia, Canada and Europe, and in 2005 their performance for Festival Vancouver at the University of British Columbia was recorded and broadcast nationally by the Canadian Broadcasting Commission.

'Brilliant and explosive' Cellensis Festival, Austria

'This group of five women is a national treasure'
Herald Sun, Melbourne

'Instinctive musicality, intuitive ensemble, irrepressible rhythmical vitality and impeccable intonation are their hallmarks.'
Herald Sun, Melbourne

Coco's Lunch have released several outstanding independent albums for both adults and children to critical acclaim. Performed by groups and choirs worldwide, their award-winning work has also been featured on countless compilation albums, anthologies, documentaries and film.

In 1999 Invisible Rhythm heralded Coco's Lunch as 'A NEW GENERATION OF VOICE' (Sydney Morning Herald), featuring lush harmonies, percussion, ethereal improvisations and innovative song writing. This album was chosen as a finalist in the 2000 AUSTRALIAN WORLD MUSIC AWARDS and was also nominated for an ARIA award for BEST CONTEMPORARY ALBUM in 2000.

'...bold originality as well as a superbly blended, harmonious sound, which still allows room to highlight the distinctive timbres of the individual voices.' Herald Sun, Melbourne

'Inordinately, preposterously, almost slanderously talented'
Phillip Adams, ABC Radio National

'This is such a comprehensively good album, full of dynamic rhythms and great singing, and suffused with an exotic world music ambience… pure celebrations of the heart-stopping beauty of five voices in full flight.' Sydney Morning Herald, Australia

A Whole New Way of Getting Dressed
I found your CD when I googled "Acapella" and the sample songs snagged me! I ended up ordering both A Whole New Way of Getting Dressed and Invisible Rhythm and connected with songs on both CDs. "Sing of This Time", "In My Room, "Sister My Sister" and "Unity" touch a deep space within me and keep playing over in my head!
Thank you for writing, collaborating, singing, recording and sharing your gorgeous harmony with the world!
