ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Like the many wandering byways that crisscross Central Pennsylvania sharing a single name, Colebrook Road blends the original sound of bluegrass pioneers like Bill Monroe and Jimmy Martin with cutting-edge modern string bands like The Infamous Stringdusters and The Punch Brothers, creating a modern bluegrass sound deeply rooted in tradition. Founded in early 2009 and moving at a fevered pace, Colebrook Road has shared the stage with the likes of The Steep Canyon Rangers, Chatham County Line, and the Tony Rice Unit, all the while keeping an eye on life on the farm and the local rural feeling inspired by an often-winding country road.
