Album Notes
Born into a musical family in West Plains, MO, Colin has spent his entire life surrounded by an atmosphere of music and love. Inspired by his fathers favorite Singer Songwriters from the 70's (James Taylor, Jim Croce, etc...) he began writing original songs at the age of 16, with deeply personal lyrics alongside his brilliant acoustic guitar abilities even at a young age.

Colin earned a fan base in the thriving music scene of Springfield, MO. First performing with Berch, at the time named the #1 Alternative Rock band in Springfield, the band gained notoriety for their honest sound and theatric stage presence, releasing the full-length studio album "Before and After the Fall." Soon after, the band members each found new opportunities, leading to the eventual (and agreeable) split of the group.

Colin continued to perform solo and with friends, finally joining forces with the Franz Family. In 2011 Colin began working on his debut album, "This Side of the Sun", with the Franz Family providing music and backing vocals. The album was recorded to tape at the Legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. With help from Memphis Producer Wes Leyshon (16 Frames, Josh Threlkeld), Grammy Nominated Mastering Engineer John Mailioux (Dispatch, State Radio, Rich Price) and Kansas City based Mixing Engineer David Fiser, the record is set for online release in early January.

Singer songwriter Rich Price said of Elmore "Colin's got a great way of mixing warm, easy lyrical storytelling with a rich blanket of vibey textures. I always love to hear good tunes set against the backdrop of a great vibe."
