ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Collectors return with their new EP "Travelogue", the first since the debut EP "Reverberation" in 2004. If "Reverberation" marked a beginning, then "Travelogue" marks a band confidently hitting its stride.

Recorded and mixed in early 2006 at Million Yen Studios in Chicago, "Travelogue" finds the band showcasing broad sonic textures, ear-pleasing psychedelic tinged pop sensibilities, tight hooks and strong arrangements that evoke the best sounds of UK rock over the years. Remarkable sounds ranging from the 60s British Invasion to early 90s shoegazer and Madchester to classic Britpop to the modern era - all of which never sound dated.

Lyrically the release encompasses bitterweet themes of loss - the loss of time, opportunities and people that are most important in one's life. But listen closer and one will hear a sense of hope and redemption that permeates "Travelogue" like a perfect day.

Unbelievable!
Wow! Buy this CD! This is some of the most inspiring music I have heard in ages. I wouldn't be too far off to compare it to some of Wilco's albums. It also reminds me of how influential Nirvana's Nevermind was to me. This album has seriously changed my life. I listen to it every day. The only disappointment here is that there aren't more songs? I'm glad they gave us these songs, but I want more! These guys are absolute geniuses and I am wondering why they aren't more out in the mainstream yet. Radio stations! Play their music!!! Keep it coming guys and I can't wait until your next album! When is it going to be released? Are you working on new material?

PS

Beautiful Music
Yes, I agree with the reviews on this album. This is some of the most solid songwriting I have heard in years. Who writes this stuff? Do you guys have a producer or something? Your music is very refined and well done. I wouldn't doubt that you will be playing to sold out stadium before long with this kind of quality of music being put out. I also agree that the number of songs you give us is not enough? Who's idea was it to only a few songs on this album? (Terrible decision.) I cannot wait to see you guys play live at Sophies!!! Hopefully, you will sign the copy of my album when I bring it up to you guys. I called WLUP the other day and asked them to play one of your songs and they hadn't heard of you, which shocked me! Oh man, I am totally psyched for your gig! See you guys there!

Pretty cool
I didn't buy this cd yet, I have only heard clips of it on their website. It seems pretty solid and done well. These guys are good!
