ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Released in 2007, "Folk Medicine" is Ethan Collister's sophmore release. Featuring stripped down solo performances, "Folk Medicine" was recorded live off the floor to master tape in a single day at the Seaside Lounge Studios in Brooklyn, New York. The sparse arrangements emphasize Collister's impressive development as a lyricist and storyteller. From tender ballads to raucous protest songs, "Folk Medicine" is songwriting in it's purest form.

five stars
Folk Medicine - is an album that i keep on listening to over ond over again since i got it. it's an amazing piece of music that really leaves it's mark on you...you find yourself in the lyrics, it makes you questioning this world as much as it makes you feel comfortable with living in it...
i really recommend this one!

held within
Ethan's has created a stunning musical landscape, a road map to follow the stories held within. Well done.
