Compact Moroboshi is a compound name. Compact refers to a CD (the 3 founding
members refer to themselves as CJs, compact jockeys), a tribute to their prediliction for
CD sets. Moroboshi is dedicated to Japanese manga, which invaded Italian television in
the 1980s. Ataru Moroboshi is Lamù’s boyfriend. Lamù is the beautiful alien who lands on
the earth to look for a husband. She is a flying heroine, sexy and ruthless, of the cartoon
saga. She was successively animated by Rumiko Takahashi.
