ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"I know of and hear many poets, and the art form is one I value and gravitate to when I come across a wordsmith who speaks words and sentiment that move me. Not all do, Confidence has those qualities and more."-Aaron Baldwin, KJAMZ Tulsa, Programming Director

“Confidence's words have the ability to reach you to the depth of your soul. Her poems take you on a soulful journey through past, present and future. Real poets have the gift of delivery and commonality to bring all of the readers. That is Confidence.”-Jeanette Robbins-Biles, Tulsa 66ers, Tricaster Director

“Confidence has got to be one of the best poets around. I've been given the chance to work close to her and have her as a mentor and I couldn't ask for anyone better. She brings such emotion into her work and isn't afraid to take the listener into her world and let them experience the things she's gone through. A great and powerful voice.”- Allison McClaughry, Indy Finalist, LTAB-Tulsa

"Confidence is an amazing poet with a unique style of performance. Her poetry speaks to readers (or listeners) of all ages and backgrounds. Her poetry is like reading diary entries, and you can't help but fall in love with each breathtaking poem."-Renee Gordey, LTAB-Tulsa, Coach

"Confidence is a firestorm of truth and naked emotion. Very rarely do you hear a writer bare their soul in such eloquently written words that ring both clever and raw. To hear a body of work from Confidence, is to brace yourself for a life-altering experience sure to facilitate growth and self-examination." -Justin David Tate, Former Editor in Chief, Et cetera

“Every stanza is inspirational. She brings tears with mixed emotions. Her tone of voice develops goose bumps on my heart.”- Cameron Davis, Indy Representative, LTAB-Tulsa

“This is powerful, exciting and thought-provoking poetry that is as real as it gets. Confidence’s poetry is sure to inspire you as well as impart confidence in all who experience it.”-Jamario Beard, Founder, Wizegrafx

“The poetry of Confidence cannot be heard casually or taken lightly. With every word and image she conjures, the light and darkness of our collective joy, collective struggle, collective consciousness. She bares her soul so that we might regain our own. Her words are to be savored slowly, and carried with us on triumphant journeys into ourselves and beyond.”- Mia Wright, Author, Prayers of Calcitrant

“Confidence's words uplift the spirit and enlighten the soul. Her unrelenting voice of power inspires you to take a closer look at the world around you.”-Claire Collins, Louder Than a Bomb Tulsa, Lead Instructor

"There are poets you hear and will never forget. There are moments you experience that leave you forever changed. Confidence's poetry is when these moments happen simultaneously. Prepare your spirit for greatness." -Jerica Wortham, J Parle' Literary Magazine, C.E.O.

"Confidence's poetry is full of emotion and deeply cathartic. It is refreshing and thought-provoking. It brings life and laughter. "- Tosha Craft, Award-Winning English Instructor

Confidence Omenai is a Tulsa native now residing in Colorado. She travels the world, performing and teaching the art of spoken word. She works with at-risk youth, juveniles and women in prison, teaching them how to conquer their fears and thrive against all odds. She spent the past three years as a coach and instructor for the Tulsa team during a national youth poetry slam competition Louder Than a Bomb. Confidence is a brilliant editor, surgically precise at cutting the fat and getting down to the heart of the matter. Her voice is a clarion call to the hopeless to believe again. She dares us all to love harder, dig deeper and dream bigger.
