ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have always been inspired by singers who effortlessly communicate the emotional tone of a song and personally connect to the story behind the lyrics. Joni Mitchell, Billie Holiday and Shelby Flint possess these wonderful artistic qualities. The songs selected for this collection are gifts to the people I love. Some songs were recorded for specific events of a friend’s wedding, the birth of my God Daughter Mary Jane and the unfortunate death of a friend’s brother. One song in particular has special meaning, I sang Bye Bye Blackbird to my Mother in the hospital before she passed away.
