Conscious Roots release new single “Lifetime”
Hawaii-based reggae band Conscious Roots are set to delight their fans, as well as many future fans, as they present a taste of what can be expected from the release of their second full-length release, Carry On, in late summer through Go Aloha Entertainment.
Their new single, “Lifetime,” is now available and shows off the strong new chemistry the band has found as a musical unit. Dustin Park, composer and singer of “Lifetime,” describes the song as “an island style love song that describes finding that one-and only-love that you can cherish for the rest of your life. [Musically it is] a combination of island style reggae, lovers rock, ballad, R‘n’B and even some ‘church’.” With his father being an original member of the legendary Kapena band, Park grew up in a family with a strong musical foundation.
“Lifetime” is only one of many new jams found on the upcoming Conscious Roots project. Produced by Imua Garza and Brett Ortone, the ‘Carry On’ project will feature 12 original songs in styles ranging from reggae to R’n’B, roots to backyard kanikapila.
With a re-worked line-up, several years of gigging under their belt, and a new creative direction, Conscious Roots have re-discovered themselves musically and are excited for their future. They hope you are too!
