Jennifer Rueb

Fan of COOT debut CD
I am enjoying this CD immensely! Overall I feel mellow and elevated while listening. Both the music and the lyrics of these all original compositions are impressive. A great variety of instruments (including mandolin, banjo, sax and flute) adds to the pleasant experience. The lead guitar playing is truly a treat. The lead guitarist, Brian Rueb, is also the lead vocalist and composer of most of the songs. When I think I have a favorite song another one will eventually take its place. At this time my favorite song is “Touch.” In it I can feel the influences of the likes of The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, and The Moody Blues. COOT, however, has its own distinctive sound and genre blend including rock, folk, blues, funk and jazz. And each song is unique. COOT’s birthplace is New Orleans and what a tribute this talented group is to the city! Get the CD. You will not be disappointed!
