"From fantasies of far-away places to real adventures of circling oceans and continents, In Circles evokes all of the peaceful feelings of my childhood spent along the shores of Coney Island, to my youth spent on the beaches of Florida, to ultimately fulfilling my dream of leaving these shores and visiting many of the countries, cultures, and people who share this little planet we all call home." -- Corinne
After a recent performance at a distinguished jazz club in New York City, Corinne was compared to a "young Lena Horne" and in a production of Phantom of the Opera, to Sarah Brightman. But on her debut album 'In Circles' Corinne combines several styles to celebrate her own sound, one she calls Popera. In Circles provides a unique fusion of electronica, opera, and world music. "I developed the idea for this music after I did my first world tour. Traveling to Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S., I thought of how music is a form of spiritual sustenance for all cultures. Music has a tendency to change peoples' hearts and minds, so we each get a step closer to changing the world. I wanted to convey that in my music.", Corinne says.
Her passion for travel, culture, people, art, food, and of course music of all genres, inspired Corinne to create these never-before-heard arrangements on In Circles. Through her music and voice Corinne is bringing to the forefront cultures of a far-away people while maintaining the integrity of her classical training, but with modern and driving rhythms of electronica.
On stage, her talent, charisma, striking stage presence, and vast experience are captivating. Off stage, her kindness, generosity, and love for people, animals, and nature prove Corinne to be a rarity among the world of entertainment.
