ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
1997: Crom dissolves his band TEARS OF TIME, to join German Black Metal band DARK FORTRESS on guitar, only to realise after a while that playing guitar would not completely satisfy him. So, in the winter of that year, he founded his solo project CROM, which has been described as Majestic Melodic Metal.

2000: Crom leaves DARK FORTRESS to concentrate all his attention on CROM, and the first demo is released (Promo 2000).

2002: In January Crom enters the Aexxys Art / Schwandorf studios to record \"The Fallen Beauty\" EP. However, the studio undergoes refurbishment immediately after recording ends, causing the final mixing to be delayed, and the CD is not completed until June 2002.
Another self-produced MCD follows on from \"The Fallen Beauty\" (Promo 2002).

2005: Crom joins DARK FORTRESS vocalist AZATHOTH, to form SINDECADE, a Black Metal side project, and the MCD \"Terrorcrowned\" is released on his own label Neocreation Productions. This is purely a recording project and was never intended to be a live band.

2007: February sees the completion of the new CROM album \"Vengeance\". CROM’s first live performance takes place in May when the band supports DARK FORTRESS.

2008: CROM signs to Pure Steel Records and “Vengeance” is released on the 29th August.

Definitely a great album!
Crom is certainly a talented musician and writer. He makes good albums! I would probably not say that it\'s in the same direction as the aforementioned Bathory albums, as the music on \"Vengeance\" doesn\'t exactly have the same twinge of darkness that Bathory exhibited, nor as the awesome album cover suggested. This isn\'t to say that you\'d be misled. As for musicianship, I think Crom has far surpassed our beloved Quorthon (RIP). It\'s only that Crom\'s style of Viking metal paints, in my opinion, a slightly different picture of Viking lore. I might rather compare this release to those of Doomsword, whose albums you won\'t find here on CDBaby, but rather someplace like Amazon.

Any way you slice it, you would do well to have Crom\'s \"Vengeance\" in your library.

Best album I've heard in a while
Dear god....this is absolutely EPIC!!!! I've had the album on repeat for a while and it is perfect. Great riffs, epic vocals and melodies, and good production. Love it. Hope there is a follow up soon. 10/5 stars!!

Money well spent
If you like metal, you will like this album. It is a breath of fresh air, heavy and majestic. The clean vocals Crom employs are top notch. They are not your typical high pitch shit, they are solid mid-range/deep vocals. Very good music. Extremely recommended. Best thing you\'ll find here.

Killer album
A superb mix of viking era Bathory and true epic metal, with even a touch of doom metal thrown in. Crom reminds me more of Doomsword than anyone else, but with better vocals and catchier, more memorable songs. Comparisons could also be made to Manowar and Wizard (Germany). If you like true heavy metal you simply cannot go wrong with Vengeance, the fact that it's one guy doing everything except the drums makes it that bit more amazing!
