ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Today behind in Cuba Jam 5 years history, concerts in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, tour around Siberia, performing at the festival Jazz Estate, St Petersburg and the bottom of the other major events. List all makes no sense. It all began in 2005 with the family to the Russian heart "Besame mucho" and such hit songs. Fortunately, understanding that Latin American music, it's much more than 5-7 songs familiar to almost everyone came quickly. From the moment a period of musical experimentation, original arrangements, "variations on a theme ..." and salsa as such. Rich artistic heritage Buena Vista Social Club has played a significant role in the formation of the group.

Music was changing, shifting, and musicians. For 5 years, the composition of updated and greatly expanded. Cuba Jam today - is 9 musicians led by the "Cuban soul" of the team and part of its Director - Boris Echa. Someone such amount may seem excessive, but it will be wrong. Yes, nine people on stage is more than many are used to seeing, but everything is relative. For example, the team recognized the king Tito Puente Latin scene counted 20 people. The abundance of tools provide the necessary scope and depth of sound. Live salsa requires a large number of musicians. Here is a little one drum set. Need congas, bongos and timbales, no one tube, and the whole pack.

Probably, all the musicians, sooner or later there comes a time when someone's playing songs is not that interesting. Want to make something your own, invented from beginning to end. Not escaped this fate and Cuba Jam. 2, the musicians are working hard on writing their own material. And there is every reason to believe that soon enough guys will enjoy public debut album.
