ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Cush was formed in 2000 by the songwrighting team of Gabrielle and Burette Douglas. After playing for 6 years together in Dallas based noise-pop band Buck Jones, they were ready for a shift in musical direction.
Focusing more on the more experimental and cerebral sides of their songwriting they recorded their first full length, self titled Cd, and released it in 2001.
The Cush's live show has expanded far beyond the sound of their first release as will show on their new album due this summer. They have opened for Cat Power and Broken Social Scene in Burlington, and are currently touring in the Northeast.
