The EP 'Between the Lines' is a R&B, Soul & Pop musical exposition of artist Dahlia Fernandes. Drawing inspiration from artists Alicia Keys, Joss Stone and even the jazz elements of Norah Jones, it is a balanced fusion of her catchy hooks, soulful melodies and lyrical depth.
The jazzy pop melodies and the soulful, gritty vocals express messages of love, life, regret and hope. This is most evident on 'Game of Love' that is filled with moving piano arpeggios and acoustic guitar accents by multi-instrumentalist and producer, Nick Name.
The compilation hits an uplifting note with the jazz influenced 'Jump' produced by Lalo Hernandez. The track highlights the rhythmic a capella of Roger Hudson and showcases the clever background vocal arrangement and performance of 'trip-pop' artist Shyann on the EP.
Driven to create music that inspires and moves listeners, Dahlia sought to craft an album that nourishes the heart, soul and mind. With each song she invites the listener to read between the lines.
