ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The music of Damiso Sun is the brainchild of one Doug Frazier. He was born in Detroit, but raised in the deep south, which is where he first developed his deep respect for Folk and Blues music. Doug's parents are both former musicians raised in Detroit, so music was prevalent in the household. Jazz and Fusion/R&B were the dominant genres being played regularly while growing up. Finally, the rock influence clicked with Doug while discovering bands like Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Hendrix....just to name a few. Over the years, Doug has had mentor influences from the likes of Gordy Rogers( Rick James Band), Derek Galbraith (Isaac Hayes Band) and Dave Anderson (Atlanta Rhythm Section and Brother Kayne).
Doug is a regular performer in the local Seattle music scene. He also likes to fuse socially conscious lyrics within his music to keep the audience "thinking". Doug often says that he likes to write about what's going on in the world.
