Hello, I'm Linda Herman and this is a CD that contains some of my original music and some covers, all played in a danceable style. There is rhumba, cha cha, tango, foxtrot, swing, waltz, etc. All my music and cd's are in a ballroom dance style since I play music for ballroom dancing.
My Journey, A Long Way Home is an original song I wrote about the Sutliff Bridge, of course, and death of a someone near and dear to me. The Sutliff Bridge in Iowa partially collapsed in 2008 but was restored and now once again one can walk across it, have a beer on it, a sandwich, and just visit and reflect on life. I like to think I helped in restoring the Bridge. In 1999 my dear friend passed away. I could not save him. I could help save a Bridge To Nowhere, as some might say. Lots of symbolism is this song.
Take Me Back Home is a song about the Sutliff Bridge and how it took me "home". A place I needed to reconnect with.
There's A Time is a song about my many different emotions.
I am using a Roland FR7X accordion, yes accordion, midi to a Roland BK7M module. I'm a Roland junkie and absolutely love the Roland FR7X accordion. Hope you enjoy the music. Life is short. It helps to "dance through life".
