Six Miles High in the Texas Sky

by Daniel W Gallagher

This song was inspired by the trip to Texas I took to bring my daughter to school at the University of Texas. When I got up at 5 am to head back to Connecticut it really hit me how fast time goes and that I had to get on that plane and leave her In Texas

Album Notes
I write mainly in the pop-country and pop-folk style. I have been playing guitar and writing music since I was 9 years old. I write songs about love, as does every other artist, but I don't like to write ordinary love songs. I like to write about more realistic and true love. The kind that is deeper and stronger than what much of pop music is made of. I guess that's why I like country It's a more suited genre for what I write about. I also like to write more light hearted types of songs as well, and folk music has always been a good median for me to do that. I have several that I am currently in the process of arranging and hope to have them recorded and released later this year.
