All sounds on this album were produced on the cello by bowing, plucking, and tapping on different areas of the instrument to create percussive sounds. The only other instruments used are the African djembe on "Sandscape," the Nepali madal on "Village Song," along with Tibetan bells, and an Indian tanpura machine on "Alap."
Every song with the exception of "Sandscape" and "Alap" is written to be performed live with a looping station. Aside from some minor studio nuances, everything on this album is as one would hear it live.
My travels through India and Nepal helped shape these works, and my hope is that this music will help people find the true, ecstatic nature within us all.
All songs written and performed by Dan Kassel except "Teardrop," written by Massive Attack, and "Sweet Child O' Mine," written by Guns N' Roses
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kyle Graham, Fresh Produce Studios
