ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Wide Eyed" (Hot Cup Recordings) is the sophomore album by the NYC-based Danny Fox Trio, a group that's been hailed for reinventing the classic piano trio format. Coming on the heels of their critically acclaimed debut "The One Constant" (Songlines Recordings, 2011), "Wide Eyed" ups the ante in the band's quest to create uniquely personal, genre-defying original music. Falling somewhere between jazz and chamber music, the eleven pieces are rich with sonic surprises: quirky rhythms, jaunty yet catchy melodies, haunting harmonies, and out-of-the-box arrangements.

"Changing the sound and expectation of a jazz piano trio"- John Schaefer, WNYC's New Sounds
