ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album is one of three albums recorded live at the MLC bar and café in Auckland New Zealand. The trio recorded these albums on three different occasions: May 5th, May 26th, and June 2nd 2005. Pete and I had this gig for a year and a half as a duo prior to these recordings. As the MLC is a "quiet" restaurant we were asked to keep volume levels to the minimum. In this circumstance Frank had the hardest job controlling the volume of the drums while maintaining the high energy levels. I suggested Frank to "play colors" rather than propelling the trio and that's exactly what he did, although sometimes we got "in the groove" despite the limitations.
