Album Notes
I write songs on subjects that inspire me, ranging from social issues to quirky romantic relationships. I recorded this song playing keyboard, guitar and bass. The sung lyrics on "I Don't Notice" talk about the general feeling of unease we as a people feel everyday. The rap lyrics written and performed by my friend Damani Harrison describe a 1984-esque future where children are brainwashed, families are kept in order, all individuality is drained, and the whole society is ruled by an empowered, Big Brother-esque figure, voiced by Damani himself. The music video and single cover are inspired by the 1999 movie The Matrix, though I hadn't seen The Matrix when I wrote this song. This is track #9 on my first album, Dark Matter.
