Album Notes
The Darlings from Los Angeles’ South Bay are bringing rock n’ roll back to the underground scene. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for these up and coming hit-makers, since their founding in 2005 The Darlings have already hit the stage with such legendary acts as Pennywise, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Youth Brigade, Ignite, Guttermouth, and the one and only Circle Jerks. The boys from The Darlings admit that this is an unusually major accomplishment for such a young band but also admit that they have the skills, dedication, and street-cred to back it up. Yet the greatest drive for the band is not who they can be seen performing with, but is a passion for making killer music. Front man Buddy Darling puts this sentiment in his own words, “We’re going to be around simply because we love it, check us out”. The Darlings say that they draw musical inspiration from venerable sources like Elvis and the Blues as well as contemporary rockers like Social Distortion, Murder City Devils, and Tiger Army. In 2006 The Darlings proved their chops by winning the Battle of the Bands presented by AMI Productions, the South Bay’s most prestigious band competition. The battle victors who in addition have just finished up dates on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour plan to keep their momentum going by performing throughout Los Angeles, and wherever their music takes them, and intend to put some haunting tracks on wax and release an album sometime in 2009. The Darlings would like to thank ROCK N’ ROLL!

The Darlings don't disappoint
The Darlings have a unique and catchy sound that fans of new and old school punk agree on. The have a clean sound that is a cross between Social Distortion and Face To Face. The EP is easily one you put in and listen to from start to finish and leaves you wanting more. Some of my favorites are It's Gone, Lacerate, Cruel World, and What Lies Below. These guys are awesome live too. For those who are left wanting more The Darlings have some new songs on their MySpace page. Check these guys out!
