ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Headstrong, cultured and charming KING makes his presence known by simply being himself. His lyricism speaks for itself in a time when Rappers outnumber Emcees. With influences such as Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Neptunes, Scarface, Biggie, Mos Def and Lupe he has a style that can cover smooth, lyrical Hip-Hop as well as hardcore, punch line Rap; leaving little he can’t do. Since he began his career at 16 he’s been consistently improving and polishing his talents both as a producer and an artist. KING has opened for artists such as Slum Village, Keith Murray, KRS-One, De La Soul and Wu Tang among others. His confidence shows as he continues to make his way around venues in Chicago, making sure no eardrum goes without gracing. His mission is to have his audience know “the type of person I am and how I became that person to come through my music.” With his skills for manipulating words and his knowledge of how to make the perfect beat to drive his message home, it’s no question IF he will make it. For now with the help of the GoodLife Music Group team behind him, it’s more about waiting for the WHEN.
