ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David Cosma is a Melbourne based singer songwriter that charms his audiences with melodic, acoustic guitar based music. His songs characteristically give an insight on lifes experiences; bad, good and indifferent, many his own...
David began an affiliation with music at a very early age. Obsessed with Elvis and the Beatles, he was lured into holding his guitar as a left handed player, ala Paul McCartney. The only problem was that he was holding a right handed guitar.... He persisted with this unorthodox method and developed his playing through childhood by teaching himself and dedicated practice. From the age of 16, he formed bands and played live regularly, gaining experience around the Melbourne music scene in pubs and clubs. In 2003, he co founded and fronted Melbourne based indie band Mistamash. This saw his first installment of original music, the bug had been caught. A well known act in the Melbourne indie scene, the band parted ways in early 2006 after three EP releases.
Never able to lose his deep connection forged at an early age with popular music, his songs are heavily influenced around groove, melody, intelligent lyrics and harmony. With striking vocals and warm guitar melody, his music connects on many levels. Circa late 2006; he found himself alone, with a guitar, pen and paper. Recording commenced on his first solo installment, with producer Rob Feaster.
A year later, the result is the debut album, HANGING FROM ALDO

Racquel and Scott

love this on car rides!
David Cosma has an original voice, and it is perfectly suited to deliver the songs he writes. He completely wrangles together a classic southern rock feel in many of the tunes, a beatle-esque beauty in others, overall... great tempos for driving with the top down, this is "don't forget on long and winding drives" music. Great thoughtful music that is obviously composed by a person who pays mind to producing clean lines, memorable melodies, quietly powerful music, as today as sheryl crow, and yesterday perfect where you want it to be. Great album David. Our whole family is enjoying it.

Hanging From Aldo
Dave and Rob made a wonderful record here; I had opportunity to see him perform in Melbourne and really dug on his style, it's great to see it manifested in a full band production. My favorite track is Up In The Clouds but all the songs are strong and take you on a vibey sonic trip with heartfelt lyric , a cool listen from front to back.
