ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David Grissom has toured and recorded with artists such as Storyville, The Allman Brothers Band, Buddy Guy, Joe Ely, John Mellencamp, James Mcmurtry, Robben Ford, and John Mayall. In this, his third solo effort, Grissom features an equal blend of instrumental and vocal tunes, and is backed by Chris Maresh and J.J. Johnson on bass and drums. More musically focused in the Austin, TX blues and rock playing he is known for than his previous outings, Way Down Deep reflects an artist digging deeper, embracing change and growth.

Another great album full of great songs and guitar
Once again David has put out another great collection of songs full of hooks and tons of tone (no one does it better). Defiantly one of my favorite artists out there and have been a fan for many years (Started with Lou Ann Barton's Shake your hips, Joe Ely and everything since). I also very much like the fact that two other of my favorite musicians J.J. Johnson and Chris Maresh are on this and both sound incredible. This type of music seems to be a rarity done this good these days so buy this right away, I hope David keeps putting out the caliber of solos albums because as long as he does I'll keep bye'in 'um.
