As a long-time singer-songwriter, I wrote many songs and enjoyed sharing them with my audiences.
Many were silly, tongue-in-cheek and made people laugh, like the ones on my album, DAVID MARTIN WHEELER SINGS WHERE MOST PEOPLE READ--BATHROOM HUMOR.
Some were seriously honest and introspective like “My Time’s Gone By”.
Others tackle social/political issues, but most are just love songs.
In “Someday We’ll Be Together” I draw on my family name and the names and memories of my mother and sister to tell a haunting love story.
It was recorded at After Hours Recorders in Redding, Ca.
It was produced, engineered and mastered by Bruce Turgon who also plays bass guitar, organ, electric and acoustic guitars.
Scott Joss plays fiddle
Doug Colosio plays piano.
Randy Thompson plays acoustic guitar.
It was a pleasure to work with these people and, as I tell my friends, with great players like these guys I feel like a weed surrounded by roses.
I hope you like this offering.
