Album Notes
The best advice one can give or recieve concerning the music one writes. Is to write about what you know. Write from your own heart & soul. Those things that happen to you or your loved ones. This is exactly what I have always done. A good piece of music should cause the listener to feel the emotion you felt when you wrote it. Whether that be a heart rending tale of woe, or a light hearted piece meant to make a person laugh. A good musician & writer can pull the listener into that world we enter when we write. That world we enter when we close our eyes and imagin. Because that is where our inspiration comes to us. A good musician & writer will have the gift to go within themselves. To identify those things that will have an impact on the listener. To bring a compelling story together with just the right music. So that it will cause the listener to stop and think. To understand, and to say to themselves "yes, I agree...I've been there...I've done that...this musician has seen into my soul "? The music I write. I write to help others. To reach right down into the hardest of hearts and say...Listen...I've been where you are. I've felt the pain that you thought was exclusive to you. You are not alone. Or listen to this funny thing that happened to me. Get a chuckle out of it. Let it lighten your day. Or perhaps listen to this problam I'm singing about. Maybe...collectively we can do something about it. The music I write is to help others deal with difficult situations. Saying....Hey, I had this problam. This is how I delt with it, and maybe that will work for you. I decided to be a musician at the ripe old age of four years old. I made it so, and have never had a single reason to regrete it. The good Lord put me here to create music. So creating music has been my all consumming passion for nearly as many years as I have been alive. So if what I do can have a positive effect on any one of you dear listeners. Then I am very pleased, and I have not spent my life in vain......Thank you very much for listening.
