David Scott began his music career 30 years ago a pre-teen as he helped play for and lead worship at the church his parents founded in West Tennessee. Born out of necessity and working with a group of people with raw talent and a love for doing things for God better and bigger than what seemed possible for that time and region, David soon found himself working on larger projects and venues and his zeal for leading worship and songwriting growing with real passion.
Over those years he developed relationships with other leaders in Gospel Music and has sung, written material for, played, and produced recording projects, worked in churches as a full-time Worship Leader, and even started a few businesses somewhere in that mix. His current project, "Let the Light Shine" is a collection of his variety of styles of writing and usable Worship Music for the Church today—or just for listening and encouragement!
One of David's key passions is writing music in a variety of styles from solo work to small groups and ensembles all the way to mass choir tunes--all with a wide spectrum of sounds. Being a resource for usable material for a full range of events and/or churches is always at the forefront of the planning in the songs written and produced by David; be it for large scale musicals to smaller events and meetings, or simply exciting new options for the use in the 'Sunday-morning' repertoire line-up that always needs a new approach and fresh appeal for today's worshiping churches.
