ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"This is one of those records where you hear a song and think you have their sound pegged. Then the next song comes on, and all you can do is throw your hands up and say, "This is just fucking dope, plain and simple." Eyamme and Davu could make a career out of collaborating with one another, if every next step is as good as this.

For those of you who miss that early 90s underground hip hop sound, here's a superfantastic dip back into the era of Digable Planets, De La Soul, and maybe even Us3. Taking their cue from jazz piano & bass, the sound is thick and ripe, layered with beats that are solid but not overpowering. The record dodges predictablility, throwing in samples of instruments and vocals that you might not expect to find in hip hop. No vapid lyrics here... social, positive, flowing raps hover easily over on the top of the music. Edgy but soothing, intelligent but accessible.

Good tunes...never thought I could get into Hip-Hop,
But you dudes made it happen...Original fusion, one moment it's out there ...and the next right in your face, with a real message and expression.... great music, and you gotta love the horn work. Davu and Eyamme are the creative process under full sail.
