The Robotic Regime

by The Doomsday Device

The debut album from "The Doomsday Device" bringing his majestic soundscapes to tape reminiscent of Phil Spectors sundrenched reverby wall of sound with classic vocal melodies and an atmosphere you could cut with a knife. A very impressive debut.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The debut album from “The Doomsday Device”, the new solo project from Craig Snape, former singer/songwriter of “Genaro” from Edinburgh based Benbecula Records. “The Doomsday Device” brings his majestic soundscapes to tape with songs such as “A Box Called Home”, “The Last Farewell” and “Spoke On The Wheel” delivered with power and atmosphere reminiscent of Phil Spectors sundrenched reverby walls of sound with a warm “Pink Floyd” type atmosphere, majestic “Slowdive” guitars, sweeping synths “Boards Of Canada” style, powerful angelic vocals with hints of Morrison, Lennon and Curtis, Beach Boy style vocal harmonies and melodies as catchy and emotionally charged as any album by “The Beatles”, “Radiohead”, “The Doors”, “The Kinks”, “Blur”, “Pink Floyd” or “Oasis”, topping it off with a lyrical potency cutting to the very heart of modern cultures robotic inhuman nature.
All this makes for the unique and very enjoyable audio experience that is “The Robotic Regime”.
