ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The new EP Oh Mercy is now available exclusively through the DHB online store in both CD and free download formats. Oh Mercy will be available at select on-line and retail outlets from November 4. It is the second EP in a three EP series.

Earlier this summer, the band released the first of three EPs scheduled for 2008, Fall In. J. Edward Keyes of Rollingstone described Fall In as "...a sublime combination of dour, druggy vocals and corkscrewing guitars." The latest EP, Oh Mercy, continues Dead Heart Bloom's stylistic experimentation, venturing into louder, more aggressive territory. After the relative optimism of the first EP, Oh Mercy takes an explosive turn, exploring the darker corners of the creative spectrum both lyrically and musically.

Oh Mercy was written and recorded by singer and multi-instrumentalist Boris Skalsky and guitarist Paul Wood in the band's Brooklyn studio and follows the Fall In EP, eponymous self-titled debut album, and 2007's Chelsea Diaries.
