Album Notes
Canadian born Denise “Dee” Sirois was introduced to music early as a kid growing up in a small French Acadian town in the most northeast corner of the United States. “I came from a very musical family. I remember my father and his sisters getting together for guitar and fiddle jams on Sunday afternoons. We would sit around and sing our hearts out to old Hank Williams songs. I still have recordings of my father and me harmonizing to old country songs when I was five years old.”

At fourteen Dee first met the J.T. Band, composed of a father and two brothers, who were well known as the premier band in northern Maine. “My friend told me that I had to hear this band. We went to this motel lounge where the J.T. Band was playing and I was blown away. These guys were so talented.”

After Dee finished high school, she left her small hometown in Maine to see more of the world and the music scene. Eventually she returned to her roots to rediscover the qualities of small town life and to be closer to her family. One day she walked into J.T. Band founding member, Jerry Thibeault’s, recording studio to take piano lessons. “I had known Jerry for quite some time; however, I was intimidated by his talent. But the lessons went well and eventually I tried recording a couple of cover songs.” With help and encouragement from the other J.T. band members, guitarist Jamie Thibeault and drummer Jasen Thibeault, she discovered a musical chemistry that all came together. “These guys are so talented. I have such faith in their ability to take my songs and make them great. So much credit on this album goes to them for all their creative energy and input.”

Dee’s first CD, “Dee Featuring the J.T. Band,” includes six original compositions by Dee, and features the talents not only of Dee, but also the same three guys she first met nearly 20 years ago.“These songs are all written from my soul,” reflects Dee. “Each song has a personal story behind it. It makes me happy that people can connect with the experiences and emotions that come out of my songs. It makes me feel that somehow I am not alone.”

Great music fronted with a sultry voice that gives you chills!
The variety of music on this cd keeps you rocking in your living room. The emotion and feel in Dee's voice makes you feel like you know what she's talking about. The music is tight and the blues harp rocks! This band has got it all together.

I'm listening to the song samples as I write my review and I'm amazed at the talent of all these musicians. This Cd is going to be a hot seller!

I love Dee!
I love her voice. I haven't heard a voice that haunting and capturing since the early days of Stevie Nicks. I love her rendition of "Never My Love." Keep on rocking!

FMQB AC Pick of the Week - May 30, 2006
Hailing from the most northeast corner of the U.S. and the product of a musical family, Denise “Dee” Sirois joins forces with the Thibeault Brothers (Jamie, Jasen and Jerry) for the debut single, “Waiting For You.” On this midtempo tune, Dee’s emotive vocal delivery is expertly showcased, while supported with some very tasteful slide guitar, and an equally strong melody.

This is a stellar first release. Dee's songwriting is real and heartfelt, and the JT Band elevates the emotion with fresh riffs and rhythm. Can't wait for the next CD!

I own very few CD's, this one I will treasure forever!
Love her voice and the music is tight. All her songs are moving, her words connect with the listener. It's her story and she tells it well.
