ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dehra Dun is what happens when five people try to achieve an energy source not dependent on fossil fuels but lacking the sufficient funds to adequately accomplish the task. So instead of cold fusion, melt rock is the result. Melt Rock is the meltiest of all rock and roll schools yet discovered.

Mariposa Salad Days is the debut EP from the world's foremost purveyors of Melt Rock. It's a sampler of the eclectic sounds that Dehra Dun produces.

"Having lovingly self-defined their sound as "Melt-Rock", Dehra Dun sonically represent the future of what rock may become; guided by the firm hand of technology. Indeed an amalgam of sounds melted together to fuse into one solid yet malleable body of work, Dehra Dun's music acts as a character in its own narratives. The tunes echo, hauntingly distant, as currents of real live flesh and blood and breath are mellowed by electronic subtleties. Often, in this day and age, musicians are engineers, as is the case with Dehra Dun. Their music is a multidimensional sensory experience usually accompanied by a visual representation of itself, often in the form of an experimental video presentation created by the band."

Amazing must be experienced
Two minutes of any song is definitely not enough, this is a CD you must hear to believe it is an amazing mix of everything a music fan would want. There is no way you will be disappointed with this EP.

orgasmic
This album is so fantastic I might go insane. The way the songs were done...I have a newfound respect for DSM-V and Ambushed. To be completely honest, I have never heard those songs sound any better. This album truly is the epitome of melt. And Apollo...what else can I say about it.....orgasmic!

Captures the spirit of melt at a live show
This EP actually does what I wouldn't think possible...it captures the spirit of Melt that oozes through a live show of Dehra Dun.
The energy is captured on disc...how delicious.

Who would have that that Apollo could even come close to being replicated on a recording....but they pulled it off--I love this EP.

It's the perfect melt!
This has got to be the best cd I've EVER heard. It's a mix of all the best things about rock. The songs don't all sound the same, which is awesome because I never get sick of the cd. :) It's the perfect melt.
