ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
DELIRION is a Symphonic Power Metal band formed in late 2003 in Alicante, Valencia, Spain. After several lineup changes, they established their own style, and recorded a 3-track demo “Demo 2005” from February to April 2005. This showed the musical direction and the style the band is taking, and was welcome by webzines and also by fans.

Shortly afterwards, Román Planelles joined as the drummer, and in the following months the band played several concerts and entered some contests with good results, while continued composing the songs for their first studio album.

In May 2006, the singer Ruben Picazo left the band to focus on other projects, including the Black Metal band GOTHMOG. He later formed CAIN’S DINASTY together with Roberto Garcia, the guitar player of GOTHMOG, and released the debut album “Legacy of Blood” in 2008. Christopher Ripoll, who was 19 years old then, took his position just a few days before the first recording sessions. Finally the definitive lineup in place, the band began recording of their debut album at “Immortal Studios” in Valencia, Spain with Fernando Asensi (OPERA MAGNA, DRAGONFLY, FOREVER SLAVE, ZARPA etc)

The lineup includes:

Román Planelles – Drums (born in 1985)
Rafa Carmona – Bass (born in 1982)
Ana de Miguel – Keyboards (born in 1983)
Sergio Sáez – Guitar (born in 1982)
Christopher Ripoll – Vocals (born in 1987)

Their music is Power Metal with full of melodies, speed, synths, orchestrations and is mainly influenced by bands like STRATOVARIUS, ANGRA, SONATA ARCTICA, KAMELOT, HELLOWEEN, NIGHTWISH and many others.

In 2007 and 2008, the band made available an album preview with three songs and it created a great expectation for the upcoming album. Meanwhile, they played many shows presenting the new singer Christopher to a very enthusiastic response from the fans. Also, they took part in two compilation albums, namely:

“Vitruvio vol.1” (on Chilean label “Rise Star" (www.risestar.cl))
“Tales of Different Worlds” (by French webzine www.heavylaw.com)

Around this time, Sergio also started helping his ex-band mate, Ruben Picazo, as a support guitar player for his CAIN’S DINASTY.

Through negotiations with various labels, the band signed with SPIRITUAL BEAST in Japan. In late 2008, Germán Carbonell joined the band replacing Román on the drums and closing the definitive lineup.

And in July 2009, the long-awaited debut album “Silent Symphony” was released to the world. Jose Broseta from OPERA MAGNA made a guest appearance on this album.

The album received a very good response, with Sergio being picked up as one of the “Brightest Hope Players” of 2009 in Japan’s “Player” magazine among others. In the meantime, the band already started working on the sophomore album in the summer of 2009, with Fernando Asensi and Enrique Mompó from OPERA MAGNA as co-producers. In December, they participated in the Spanish leg of the “Tour Archangels In Black 2009” by the French neo-clasical metallers ADAGIO, playing 3 shows in Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid.

And in May 2010, the new album that has made a significant leap from the debut, “Lotus” will be released in Japan prior to the rest of the world. The band is planning a Spanish tour with OPERA MAGNA around that time.
