ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is very different to the music I normally produce and my first ever single release. I love the stories that are behind the music. They are just as fascinating as the music. I was challenged to write a song about the US last year and of course I rose to that challenge. I had started to write a road trip song as those are popular in the states. As I but wrote the lyric 'down the line' it made me think of the song 'Down The Line' by Johnny Cash. I was already a fan of his music. I found out more about the man and at that point the song became a song all about his life.

I have tried to capture the sound of the early Johnny Cash music and also there are some hints towards his native Indian background with the 'Man In Black' drum pattern. It is a really fun song to perform, when I get the chance, and it really goes down well with the audience.
