Album Notes
Denise B's passion for music began while growing up in rural North Dakota. She remembers a house full of music from her earliest years, with her family playing and singing heartily. Denise says, "I really didn't think too much about how musical everyone was. At the time, it just seemed to be a part of everyday, ordinary life." Her Dad played piano and her Mom played accordion. By the time Denise went to college, she had decided to major in accounting and minor in music. A few years later, she sold her accounting practice in the Twin Cities, and moved to scenic western Wisconsin, where she was inspired to write numerous songs for her husband and children. On the spur of the moment, over a month's time, she recorded her first CD (solo piano) "just for fun." It was so rewarding that one CD followed the next until her most recent CD evolved into a fully orchestrated album with many styles of music and instruments. The CD was fun to record because it includes popular songs from several decades. Denise loves creating music that brings enjoyment to people's lives, and is currently thinking about "the next project" while enjoying family life in the country.
