ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Front Porch is located in the quaint little village of Ogunquit, Maine - just an hour and 15 minutes North of Boston. This album was recorded LIVE and features selections from several musicals, including "My Fair Lady", "The Sound Of Music", "Hello Dolly!", "Mack and Mabel", and "Victor/Victoria" to name a few, plus a few of the local favorites. I've also included 3 Bonus Tracks sung by Sally - our resident songbird (1935-2011) and accompanied by Mr. Joseph Villani.

Sally is remembered on this CD with many references to her in the musicals as well as her own renditions of "A Good Man Is Hard To Find", "If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked A Cake" and "P.S. I Love You". Many have said that Sally is now in Heaven teaching everyone the words. A word of caution: this album is for Mature Audiences and contains explicit lyrics.

Better than a T shirt
There are many things you can purchase to remind yourself of that special week or weekend last summer. But - for me - The Front Porch CD is my choice. Anyone who, over the years, has visited "the porch" will recognize the songs amd even some of the singers. It is difficult to listen to The Porchettes without smiling and even singing along. My favorite selection is the late Sally Litchfield singing P.S. I love You. Just sit back, relax and enjoy these grand old songs.

This CD is for everyone that wants a memory of time spent at the Front Porch in Ogunquit, ME. You may be a singer or a listener but this CD will bring back summer memories at time you need them. Pop in the CD and you summer memories will come back. If you have been to the Front Porch you will know every song on this CD. It features pianist Dennis Crow and many regular singers. My favorite is the songs sung by the late Sally Litchfield. The CD brings back great thoughts of Sally and all her years of enjoying the Front Porch.

Memories of Many an Afternoon/Evening at the Porch
Anyone who has spent an afternoon or evenening at The Front Porch in Ogunquit and been part of the joyous, friendly atmosphere of one of the most successful live piano bars in the country will relish this CD, featuring Porch pianist Dennis Crow and the Porchettes doing many of their favorite Broadway shows. This CD won't send any of the Porchettes to Brodwayanytime soon, but the singing is infectious from beginning to end and completely captures the good times at the Porch for posterity. As added bonus tracks, there is a heartfelt rendition of "We'll Meet Again" by the entire Porch crowd sung in tribute to our beloved icon of so many years, Sally Litchfield and a special treat with Sally herself acompanied by Porch pianist Joseph Villani in three of her signature songs. This CD will bring your summer in Ogunquit memories back to you in a flash.
