ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'Ecoisland' Single - During the lead up to the Isle Of Wight festival 2012, Derek Sandy and the Ecoisland Community Interest Company met to discuss sustainability of the Island and the planet. Derek's roots in Tobago, where the full force of 'Mother Nature' have had devastating effects. Following the festival Derek and with his co-writer and wife Katy Sandy, wrote the inspired song 'Ecoisland' which was used at the first played at 'Ecoislands Global Summit 2012' as a reminder to everyone of the importance of music in everyones lives and its ability to help change the way we think about the world around us.

Driven by the reality that if every one lived like people on the IOW the resources needed to sustain life would require 2.9 planets. This song highlights the importance of sustainability organisations. Ecoisland Records in conjunctions with Derek Sandy aims to work around the globe promoting the message of sustainability through music and other artistic forms.
