Album Notes
His start in the music industry came initially as a featured artist on a local rapper's single. After reconnecting with SMG/Shear Genius Productions head Anthony J. Shears at chance encounter in Seattle, WA, Deveraux began writing songs for SMG. His first major breakthrough came in 2010 when he co-wrote and performed on the single “Dear Hip Hop”, one of the most-played songs on local urban radio that year. His second major breakthrough came when he co-wrote and performed on the single “Go Hard”, which went to the top of the local Hip Hop charts.

“Sheet Music,” the first EP he's recorded comes out October 30, 2012, and features the singles "A Lonely Place" and "1,000 Paths".

Listening to him tell this story about Sunday morning getting dressed for Sunday school and my brotha busting out this "Ribbon in the Sky" joint... Man flawless. Simply flawless!

I feel as if RnB has been missing something as of lately and when I heard his voice it came to me. Feeling is what has been missing and that's what Deveraux brings back to RnB. With every song you can feel what each song represents and how you can relate to it! Thank you for helping us feel music again!

Absolutely amazing. This is what music is supposed to be. I can't wait to hear more from Deveraux!

Simply Amazing
Sheet Music is purely honest Rhythm and Blues. It's pensive and deep. The project is a sleek ride across a lush landscape of guitars, strings and drums. Deveraux's Sam Cookish inflections are as enjoyable as ever, too. Love the project's nostalgia.

This Guy
Sometimes you just need to be reminded of real music...what music with a purpose is supposed to sound like. Deveraux takes us through time, giving us a taste of some great classics, bringing in his personal touch. Ribbon in the Sky is beautiful. Number one favorite song of the album is 1,o00 Paths. He has brought back soul to R&B. I look forward to future happenings from this guy!
