Subjective/Objective
Almost by definition, if you know enough to buy a Devil Doll CD, you're going to like them. It's not like there's a huge marketing push behind Colleen's music. Nonetheless, as objectively as possible, this is a very good CD. Smart, sexy, powerful. I thought a couple of the tracks on Queen of Pain were too long and a bit overindulgent. Return of Eve is a little more disciplined and consistent. There are those who would argue that part of the appeal of Devil Doll is a refusal to follow the rules, and so I suppose there's a trade-off somewhere...

Excellent
It's been a long wait, but well worth the time. Devil Doll has turned out a top notch effort. This album leans a little more to the rockabilly side of her sound, leaving out some of the jazzy/blues moments, but that's just fine by me. It means a more focused and cohesive effort. Lots of great tracks. "Fever" makes my heart flutter.

Here We Go Again ! !
On "The Return Of Eve" Devil Doll shows great musical range. In addition to the great Smoky Gin Joint style of "Queen of Pain" Colleen gives us a little country flavor and some straight-up Rock & Roll. An excellent CD ! Besides, I've always loved a girl with: "a little attitude and a bit of a mouth on her" !

LOVE IT
This cd is great. So far I think my favorite song is "Dorreen" but that could change. I discovered Devil Doll through an article in our local paper. They were playing near where I live. The way they described Colleen(her look and sound) sounded very exciting. I didn't get to see her (I hope to see her soon) but eventually bought Queen of Pain and loved it. I still like Queen of Pain a little better but both are absolutely fantastic. I hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one.

Loved it!
Is it possible for a CD to make someone feel sexy? I mean listening to this cd is like putting on a sexy piece of lingere- you feel so confident and sexual, it's just fantastic! I love the CD, it hasnt left my stereo since I first got it in the mail. So many of the songs I can relate to and I will definitely keep this CD around when I go through a break-up. It's amazing. Devil Doll is absolutely fantastic. Totally and most definitely worth the wait.

The Return of Eve
I am 53 and my daughter gave me a cd that someone lent to her, and said "I think you will probably like this." That was Queen of Pain and it has not been taken out of my cd player yet, and that was months ago. I was pretty excited when I went to the web site and saw I could pre-order the Return of Eve. Devil Doll has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, and I never tire of it. How long must we wait for the next one?
