Album Notes
This CD was originally released by Dharmashakti & Kushala in June 2010 while on an East Coast Tour. Coming home to New Mexico, they decided to remix, remaster and fill in the parts that felt incomplete. This newest release is their vision realized. The CD retains its raw "live" quality, while also inviting you to join in the responses, sing and dance and enjoy the spirit of the divine in your body and life.

Dharmashakti is a teacher, spiritual leader and author of Raja Yoga, the original yoga of living meditatively, choosing mindfully and being more fully awake. Although he is not a Bhakti practitioner nor Hindu worshiper, he offers these chants as an invitation for us all to find that which resonates with being more thoughtful and wise (Saraswati), abundant and responsible (Lakshmiya) as well as fierce and compassionate (Hey Ma Durga). Combining these energies (Devi Ma) into a powerful force for love and light in the world (I Love You More, a Message from the Divine) completes the recording and brings you to a place of peace in your personal Kirtan concert.

Dharmashakti is the director of Nob Hill Yoga Centers and the Nob Hill Yoga Teaching School. Kushala is a yoga instructor and professional musician with degrees from the New England Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music. They live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
