ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With an amazing range and vocal prowess far beyond her years, Diana DeGarmo gained overnight fame as runner-up on the third season of television’s No. 1 series, “American Idol.” Such high-profile exposure opened the door for DeGarmo’s first radio single “Dreams,” from her full-length RCA label debut “Blue Skies,” which claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Sales chart. DeGarmo has also conquered the Great White Way, starring as Penny Pingleton in Broadway’s “Hairspray” and as Brooklyn in the first national tour of “BKLYN: The Musical.” The talented singer’s television credits include ABC-TV’s “Walt Disney World Christmas Parade,” as well as NBC-TV’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and CMT’s reality series “Gone Country.” DeGarmo is also a proud supporter of our American troops, touring overseas with the USO and 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace. She is now writing and recording a Country album in Nashville.

Diana has come home
I have to say, I was a bit skeptical when I heard Diana was going country but man, has she taken out the big guns. These songs are as good as if not better than any other material put out by other country female artists. The writing is very well-done, the vocals are spot on and stylistically relevant. I can't wait for a full length album with complete instruments. My favorite has got to be Like I'm Not Even Here.

Love it!
People who haven't heard Diana's music since her debut a few years ago really need to check this out. Not only has she become an even better vocalist, she's starting to shine as a songwriter. I would highly recommend this EP and I can't wait for a full length release.

This is a great starter album for Diana's full-length country album. It's nice to be able to hear the songs Diana has written in an acoustic setting. All of the songs are catchy and well-written, but the stand-outs are Like I'm Not Even Here and Find Me. I can't wait to hear them all with full instrumental backing, especially Thank You.

Lush and seductive vocals fill this amazing EP
Diana DeGarmo will be a new name to many people in the UK but in the States she is a well known singer having appeared and come runner up on the third series of the popular talent show – American Idol. Diana’s success on the show propelled her first radio single, from her first full-length album, to number one in Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart. There are obvious comparisons between Diana and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood but personally I feel the two are very different singers both in style and voice. Diana has appeared in the musical Hairspray and is currently appearing as Dorothy in the musical OZ. Adding to her credits Diana has appeared in CMT’s reality show Gone Country. This latest offering from Diana is a four track EP written and recorded in Nashville. As the title suggests this is an unplugged recording, which allows Diana’s vocals to really shine. Gone is the fuss and over production leaving Diana to do all the work. Diana’s vocals are lush and seductive; there is warmth to her music and a lot of depth both in terms of lyrics and quality. This is quite simply amazing stuff and a tantalising treat for fans of good soulful music. Labelled as an EP that will appeal to fans of modern country music Diana’s style I believe will appeal to music fans everywhere. The EP starts off with a vibrant modern country song called Kiss Me. Diana’s vocals are delicate yet strangely powerful and strong. There are hints of Reba McEntire in Diana’s vocals. This opening song would make a great single. Like I’m Not Even There is a song about a romance that has gone sour and how the man in the relationship is carrying on as if nothing has happened. The song starts off slow but picks up pace as it reaches the chorus. Diana’s voice is beautiful and captivating. The third song is certainly one that makes you sit up and take notice. Thank You asks the question how can you really say thank you. Diana is an avid supporter of the American troops and has toured overseas. I wonder if that was the inspiration behind this song. How can you say thank you to a soldier who is willing to give their life to fight for their country? The words here are powerful and very emotive. The final song comes all too quickly. Find Me is another modern country song, which showcase Diana’s clear and crisp voice. Diana is currently working towards releasing a full length country album, which will be written and recorded in Nashville. I just hope she doesn’t keep music lovers waiting too long. Listening to this EP all I can say is WOW!
