ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dick Durham has performed in a solo and trio setting for 50 years, appearing on stage with many notable artists includiong Count Basie, Grover Washington, Stef Scaggiari and others. N.Y.Time critic John Wilson said Dick Durham "has managed to expand the usual concept on jazz pianist...to draw on a wide variety of sounds, colors, and textures."

Dick and his trio believe in the basic tenets of music, Melody, Harmony, Rhythm; although with their prodigious technique they may improvise their way in and out of a song, they show ultimate respect for the original song form.
