Album Notes
\"Old Blue Car\" and \"Lysol Rap\"? Over 400 thousand file shares on the old napster for this unique comedy...How about some more hilarious, shocking, and radically funny lyrics and music from the Band that brought you these classics? This hilarious album, \"You Don\'t Know Dick\", was recorded in Seattle in 2005! Originally released in Canada, the album was picked up for distribution by Laughing Hyena Records of Las Vegas. The band has since parted ways with that label and now distributes through CD Baby! You Don't Know Dick features more of the same hilarious antics and skits from the characters of Elvis Manywounds, Dick Twang and H2O. Guaranteed laughs. Fan the band on facebook, follow on twitter.
The Dick Twang Band has recently released a new album, Not Too Pretty Bad> and is currently writing material for new cd and video projects. check Dick Twang Band out on myspace!

THE HISTORY OF THE DICK TWANG BAND
CIRCA 1992
ELVIS IS ALIVE, AND AT THE DAWSON, AND MANY OTHER PLACES TOO. ELVIS MANYWOUNDS CAME FROM ASSUMPTION, ALBERTA. HE HAS BEEN PLAYING AND SINGING AND WINNING TALENT SHOWS FOR MANY YEARS. HE TRIED TO GET A REGULAR JOB ONCE BUT DIDN\'T KEEP IT TOO LONG, HE GOT TOO HAMMERED. HE PLAYED FIDDLE ALL THE TIME AND GOT HIS BROTHER HORACE TO PLAY BASS AND REGULAR GUITAR. THEIR COUSIN SEYMOUR HAIR ALWAYS PLAYED DRUMS AS HIS FAMILY WAS THE ORIGINAL DRUMMING PEOPLE. HE SAYS IT\'S PART OF HIS CULTURE. HAIR PLAYED IN THE BOWDEN BAND AND IN PRINCE GEORGE FOR AWHILE.
ELVIS AND HORACE MET DICK TWANG AT THE WAKE FOR UNCLE SYLVESTER IN ONION LAKE AND JAMMED ALL ONE DAY ONE SATURDAY AND WENT ALL THE WAY IN DICK\'S PICKUP TO HIGH LEVEL TO DO A GIG. ELVIS CALLED THE CLASSIFIEDS RADIO PROGRAM IN DAWSON CREEK TO TRY AND SELL HIS WORKBOOTS AND SOME EXTRA VCR\'S AND HORACE TAPED IT RIGHT FROM HIS CONSOLE STEREO AND THEY LAUGHED SO HARD THAT THEY WROTE THAT CLASSIC \"ELVIS AT THE DAWSON\"...THE HIT SONG \"OLD BLUE CAR\" CAME SOON AFTER...ELVIS DRANK SOME LYSOL LIKE UNCLE SYLVESTER USED TO DO AND WROTE THE \"LYSOL RAP\" AND TOLD HIS AUNTY LIZ TO FUCK OFF, BUT THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO AND AS THEY SAY ...
Sound Like Bullshit?... As you may or may not know, the Dick Twang Band is a highly original & very funny Band of Musicians who set out to record some fun original tunes that they had written onto a tape for themselves to enjoy. Well, the word got out, slowly at first, and soon many people dropped by during the recording sessions, some musically talented and some not, to give their encouragement and input to these boys, on this, their very first recording. The tape was always rolling, and many extra musicians and fans were recorded for the first time on tape. The master was recorded amidst much hoopla and beer on a very cold winter in Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, Canada, on a Fostex 4-Track Multitracker at the now-defunct Blue Haze Studios. Well, everyone that had showed up to the sessions during that winter asked for copies of it, and soon Dick was making more copies from his master tapes than he cared to. So he hired a manufacturing company to make his tapes, and a printer to print his labels and graphics, and soon realized that he was in the record business, and he couldn\'t afford to give his tapes away anymore. Not to mention that his circle of friends was growing rapidly larger, as he had begun to develop a following on his way to becoming the cultural icon that he is today. His fame and that of the band exploded on the internet since the beginning of it, and he became one of the most downloaded artists on the original napster with over 400,000 downloads. And consistently in the Top 40 on the old mp3.com comedy charts. A tough act to follow...Elvis and Horace have both been in Jail off and on since 1992 and Dick just can\'t seem to get his musical shit together without those two native brothers, plus everyone has been on various stages of substance abuse during these past 13 years. But they managed to get together to write some new funny shit and cut a new record. The cd is \"YOU DON\'T KNOW DICK\". Includes a bonus track-remake of Old Blue Car, film edit. This version reached #1 on indiebandcanada.com and mp3.com comedy charts. The single release track is \"Trailer Trash Whore\" which has been shopped to satellite and internet radio. Guitars on this record are by Joseph One Blue Eye, Hair has been replaced on the drums by Bert Buffalo.
That\'s all.

Tube steaks at a picnic
If you like tube steaks at a picnic you'll love Dick. The country musicians of Portland,OR have taken to Dick like mustard on a wiener. Haven't heard a band having so much fun since the Holy Modal Rounder's ran over Baby Gramps with their blue car. The music from a party going on in a wooden cabin somewhere in the outskirts of Calgary. This time the calvary ain't comin' to save whitey from the Indians musical charms. Even if they tried they'd be Twangafied.
